Bishop's Court in 1784

A pencil sketch from the sketchbook of Sarah Jametta Crigan (Mrs Hodgkinson), the daughter of Bishop Crigan (1784-1813) and author of 'Memoirs of Major Charles Crigan' (her brother) Liverpool, 1864. Unsigned. Either copied from an earlier naïve sketch, or possibly conjectural. The style of the ink inscription shows it was done in 1825 or thereabouts.
