This type of tunic made of wool woven on footloom, of European origin, is known as the capixay, a word which is probably derived from capusayo or kapusay in Basque. This piece was ordered to be taken to Germany and it is a copy of the model used by marimba players from Totonicapán in the years 1930-1940, according to the story told by the donor
