This porcelain jar is inscribed with the Chinese characters for longevity (壽) and fortune (福) in blue. The underneath of the base has the Chinese character for large (大) on it and the foot rim is inscribed with a phrase, stating the jar to be used in the king’s storeroom at the wedding ceremony of Emperor Gojong and Empress Myeongseong in Byeongin Year (1866).
