The television game show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" first aired in 2007, became instantly popular, and resulted in several international television versions. In 2008, Hasbro captured the know-it-all television game show in a board game adaptation. This second edition of the board game features the famous TV show's host, Jeff Foxworthy, on the box cover.
Players, age 8 or older, compete to answer trivia questions that an average American 5th grader would study in school. Questions are categorized by grade level; the easiest questions begin with the 1st grade. Players answer the questions and win money based on the difficulty of the questions they answer. The player who gains the most amount of money at the end of the game is the winner.
