Entrepreneur, play scholar, author, and marketer, Tim Walsh represents the world of playthings for the early 21st century. His first book, "The Playmakers: Amazing Origins of Timeless Toys," published in 2004, serves as a reference for play scholars, historians, and toy collectors. Walsh designed or contributed to the design of several best-selling games, created for children and adults. Both motivational and playful, he speaks regularly at play and game conferences, awards programs, and for private corporations.

Blurt! is a board game Walsh developed in 1999. Great for parties or for two players, Blurt sold steadily since then. Moving around the board, a player reads the definition of a word, while other players guess. The first to blurt out the correct word moves his piece the number of spaces rolled on the die. There is no penalty for incorrect guesses, so the game gets raucous!
