Parker Brothers "Santa Claus Game" consists of a simple race game governed by a spinner. Holiday themed toys and games appealed to present-buying adults during the holiday season. But besides Santa's unfamiliar yellow leggings, other details of the box cover design offer historic information. Among the toys surrounding Santa and spilling out of his bag, several other contemporaneous Parker Brothers offerings are clearly seen. These include Pillow-Dex, one of the most highly marketed games of that era; Authors, a game that many toy manufacturers produced; and a "Battle of Manila" game. The last example helps date this game to sometime just after the Philippine War Battle of Manila in 1899.
