The Strong National Museum of Play

J.H. Singer produced the board game Shovel Board, based on the game shuffleboard, in the late 19th century. Interestingly, the name shuffleboard probably evolved from an earlier British term "shovel board" over several hundred years. And Singer unknowingly brought back that ancient terminology.
