Rochester , United States

Since the late 19th century, the sport of yacht racing became ever-more popular in America. Like other racing sports such as horse racing and auto racing, yachting lent itself particularly well to a race-style board game. Vivid graphics on covers, boards, and playing pieces, probably appealed to boys especially. Box covers usually feature a thrilling image of sailing. The maker of this particular race game is unknown, but all the major game manufacturers made similar games.
