Spoon-bill bonnet of plaited straw, silk lace, cotton net, silk chiffon, silk tulle and silk ribbon; crown composed of continuous band of plaited straw that radiates from center; narrow strip of cream-colored silk chiffon between each straw band; bavolet of plaited straw is pleated to resemble ruffle and edged with white silk; upturned brim comes to peak at center and is edged with white silk; exterior side of brim and bavolet trimmed with white silk Blonde lace over white silk tulle; loops of plaited straw placed at intervals between Blonde lace and tulle along brim; top of exterior side of brim trimmed with faux foliage including sweet pea of pink cotton and velveteen, sweet pea of pink cotton and purple velveteen, anemones of white cotton and maroon and white paint, carnations of pink and white cotton and daisy of painted pink velveteen; interspersed among flowers are clusters of green cotton grasses; interior of brim trimmed with black silk needle-run lace over white silk; lower portion of each side trimmed with gathered white silk Blonde lace; upper portion trimmed with silk tulle and faux foliage including rosebuds of cream and pink cotton, carnations of pink cotton, daisies of white cotton, lilies-of-the-valley of white cotton and green cotton leaves and grasses; interior lined with white cotton net; wire supports covered with cream silk; cream silk ribbon ties.
