There are two types of border pipes, one from the Scottish side and the other from the English. Blowing bagpipes with bellows means that players can carry on for much longer than those blowing from their mouths. They can also chat or drink at the same time. This set is made from ebony and ivory while the reeds are made from cane. Inside it has a white leather bag that is hidden by a woollen black-and-white Percy check cover.
