  • Medium: Medium: linen, gold metallic foil wound onto yellow silk Technique: grid of laid cords with needle lace (reticella style)
  • Viewing Notes: The gird was created by four-element flat braids; sub-divisions within it by cords covered with figure-eight interlacing. Hair and facial features are embroidered using linen. The child's eyes are tan silk and the monk's belt is metal-wrapped silk. The monk's tab-edged collar completely encircles his neck and shoulders.-From Lace Exhibition, August 3 - November 7, 1982
