Bowl with Lustre Decoration

The Khalili Collections

The Khalili Collections

The bowl, which is deep and unusually large, belongs to a group distinguished by the fine quality of their painting and by their often significant iconography, in this case a humped bull. The bowl shares many elements of its design with a large flat dish in the Collection, and the two may very well be the product of the same atelier, perhaps even decorated by the same painter [see POT 1593].
