This is a sancai-glazed round box, with green and yellow splashes. Sancai is a type of low temperature glazing technique that was popular in the Tang dynasty. Three colors are used in the glaze. Usually yellow and green are included, and the third color may be blue or black. Sancai is a generic term for pottery with multicolored glazes from the Tang dynasty.
