Boy's ensemble (A) long sleeved jacket, (B) short sleeved jacket and (C) long pants of iridescent plaid taffeta in brown, blue, cream and pink:
(A) Long-sleeved jacket with slight V-neckline; set-in sleeves are gathered at elbow and narrow to wrist; two faceted steel buttons at each cuff; hook-and-eye closure at inner wrist; center front opening with nine faceted steel buttons; hand-bound button-holes; coat cut straight to waist; three inch wide bias cut ruffle trims bottom of jacket and is edged at top with self-piping; body of jacket lined with cream-colored cotton; ruffle lined with cream silk; padding at chest between taffeta and lining.

(B) Short-sleeved jacket with slight V-neckline; set-in sleeves; armscye and inner sleeve seam bound with self-piping; piping and two self-flounces trim bottom of sleeve; dropped shoulders with self-piping; coat cut straight to waist; center front hook-and-eye opening with eight covered buttons; matching buttons descend from center of each shoulder to waist; fabric sewn to interior waist of jacket gives effect of piping; lining of coarse cream cotton; sleeves lined with tan cotton; padding at chest between taffeta and lining; loops at inner waist attach to buttons on pants.
(C) Long pants have self waistband with eight bone buttons; opening at each side with two self-covered buttons; hand bound button holes; slit pocket at each hip; vertical, topstitched pleats just below waist; pants slightly tapered to ankle; lining of tan cotton.
