The left brick was venerated as a relic because allegedly drenched in Saint Gislemerio's blood. The brick is probably the authentic one which has been put by the medieval ecclesiastical authorities beside the body of the saint. The relics had been re-found in 1512, but the new place in which they were placed is unknown. The reliquary was made in the XVIII century.
