About the artist: Henry C. Casselli Jr. (Sgt, USMC) (1946 – present)
Henry Casselli graduated from the John McCrady School of Fine and Applied Arts, New Orleans. In 1967, he was recruited to join the Marine Corps as a combat artist. He received the Bronze Star with combat "V" during the Tet Offensive in 1968. After his discharge from the Marine Corps, Casselli returned to New Orleans where he established a successful art career. He was later commissioned to paint a portrait of President Ronald Reagan for the collection of the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. Casselli lives in New Orleans.
