The Inventum toaster has a rotating grille on both sides, between which a slice of bread can be placed. Between these grilles are three mica strips with heating wire wrapped around them. The glowing filament toasts the bread. When the side cover is hinged downward, the bread is automatically turned over without the need to touch it. Now the other side can be toasted.
The oval-shaped plate at the top of the appliance is for keeping toasted bread warm.
