"Ramon Pichot (Barcelona 1871 – Paris, 1925) was a Catalan painter, member of the Saffron crew, together with Isidre Nonell, Joaquim Mir, Ricard Canals, Juli Vallmitjana and Adrià Gual.

He was friend of Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso and Santiago Rusiñol. Artistically, his work was influenced by Impressionism at first, but later turned to Symbolic Modernism. He exhibited at fine arts exhibitions held in Barcelona in the years 1894, 1896 and 1898. He also exhibited in a collective with Ramon Casas at the Sala Parés, 1895, and at the National Hall in Paris in 1898, too.

In this work Pichot is presented as an attentive and scrupulous observer that leaves all convention to give a personal view full of suggestion."
