The large cups that were used during the annual banquets of the Burial Society in Bohemia, which was renowned for its glass industry, were often made of glass; despite their fragility, several of these items have been preserved. This beaker contains a dedicatory inscription and is decorated with a scene that documents the work of the Burial Society – the carrying of the dead to the cemetery.
