The hardened square-shaped bag is made of the same fabric as the chasuble. Its cover is decorated with and embroidered wave, on which knot-stitched buds with stamens sit. From beside the buds, small carnations grow. The even-sided sculpturesque cross framed by rays can be seen in the middle – the same motif appears on all the other items of the set as well.
In the bursa, they kept the altar cover called the corporal, which was placed on the altar during mass. Today it is no longer in use.
