Butter warmer

The Inventum electric butter warmer from 1939 was intended to make a hard, cold block of butter easy to spread. The butter warmer was placed over the butter dish twenty or thirty minutes ahead of time. Instead of hot water, as used in previous versions, a 90 watt electric heating element is fitted to supply the required heat.
