The baithak of this residence was separate from the rest of the house. While the house was not inhabited by anyone, the family had left the baithak open for public use. This chowki, along with a takhat, was placed in the baithak for people of the neighbourhood to use, when they gathered there. When one of the turned legs was damaged, it had been replaced with a simple wooden one.
