Mr. Jeong Deuk-man was division commander of the Tiger Division in the Vietnam War. The division was responsible for the famed AnKhe Pass Battle, and the donor donated various articles seized during the operation.
The battle at AnKhe Pass took place from April 10 to 26, 1972. It is said to have been the most intense battle fought by Korean combat units dispatched overseas. AnKhe Pass was a pass around halfway up Highway 19, which stretched from Quinhon, capital of Binh Dinh province, to the border with Cambodia. Its location has high tactical importance.
