One of the most famous and popular cameras of all time, the Kodak Brownie was recognized throughout the 20th century. Named for Palmer Cox's cartoon sprites, Brownies were inexpensive and easy to use. This particular example belonged to a lifelong resident of Rochester, NY, who used it to photograph her daughter's childhood and family life.
