In the book Journey to the Alcarria, the traveller says “amid the thicket stands a black pine, tall and slender; with a distinguished appearance, grace and dignity. A pine that looks like an old and shattered nobleman, still arrogant yesterday and debtor to all servants today”. In fact, this tree on the old Don Luis palace is a cedar of Lebanon but it is still tall and slender; with a distinguished appearance, grace and dignity.
