At the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida, Camp Kennedy Space Center participants check out displays at the "Space Shuttle Atlantis" facility during a weeklong summer activity for students entering second through ninth grades. Their tour took place just as final preparations were underway for the opening of the Atlantis exhibit.

The new $100 million facility will include interactive exhibits that tell the story of the 30-year Space Shuttle Program and highlight the future of space exploration. The "Space Shuttle Atlantis" exhibit is scheduled to open June 29, 2013.Photo credit: NASA/ Jim Grossmann
