Viewing Notes: Instead of connecting bars, the bobbin-made motifs of this early 18th century Brussels-type lace are held together by a net which was added after the motifs were made. Nets are an important feature of other types of laces of the 18th and 19th centuries.-From Lace Exhibition, August 3 - November 7, 1982
