The trading type card game is a less common but still popular type of children's card game from the later 19th century. The game is usually played with both cards and counters, which may represent points or money. Rules and themes may vary but in general the winning player accumulates the highest number of points or counters. This example has cards representing store goods and counters representing money. The winner is the player with the most goods, purchased with the money, at the end of the game. McLoughlin Brothers copyrighted this version in 1889.
