Plaster casts of Roman marble copies of the Hadrianic age from bronze originals from the Hellenistic age from the eastern Mediterranean and preserved in the Capitoline Museums. The couple, also due to the very high quality attributable to the central decades of the eighteenth century, is already reported as present in Bologna in 1766, as indicated by the inventory concluded on April 30th of that year. The Bolognese specimens could also reasonably date back to the series produced in the famous Roman workshop.
