Pendant-operated half-quarter repeat. Cylinder escapement, brass wheel, steel cylinder; 3-arm gold balance. White enamel dial; hours I-XII, minutes 5-60, calendar aperture. Central white enamel disc, 5-60, rotates back and forth so that true solar time is indicated by the tail of the minute hand. Blued-steel hour and minute hands, gold centre-seconds hand. Gilt-brass dust cap. Gold case decorated with astronomical instruments.
