This item is part of a bequest from the Estate of Queen Liliʻuokalani in 1921. It has many individual weapons, sometimes called kepa lima, strung together on a length of olonā (Touchardia latifolia) cordage. Each piece is made up of a wooden handle and a carved piece of bone in the shape of a shark's tooth. This item is believed to have been used in ceremony by the Hale Nauā, a secret society established by King Kalākaua.
