The presence of two figures in the interior of this bowl suggests an architectural concept where the walls of the bowl can be seen, either as those of a room or a building at the same time. That is to say, the presence of human figures establishes the relationship between the interior and exterior space. In other examples, the support that is found in the access from inside out and vice versa presumably symbolized the transit from the world of the living to the world inhabited by the dead and ancestors.
