The whole surface of the horizontal rectangular shaped blanket is covered with silver gilt and silver thread embroidery, the ornamentation comprising laterally symmetrical stylised plant motifs on a zigzag patterned base. Three sides of the blanket are framed with a broad border band closed off with a curve at both ends. In the border, large, spoked rosettes and crescent moon shaped leaves with serrated edges facing alternating directions alternate with one another; the outer edge of the border is framed with a series of trefoils. The central field of the blanket is decorated with three rosettes of identical design to those in the border. Out of the central rosette, of somewhat larger size than the others, are growing two kinds of huge leaves with serrated edges, in upright and horizontal positions, and together with further leaves joined onto them, these form squares surrounding the two outer rosettes. The remaining free surfaces are filled in with smaller leafy rosettes and tulips.
