The Chalice is a repsesentative example of the production of filigree enamel that persisted during the 18th century. This piece presents a distinctive harmony of colours in the combination of the gold and the green enamel. The foot and the calyx are decorated with repoussé angel heads inside panels of twisted wire. The work was donated by Kallinikos, Archbishop of Samos, in 1753.

Το έργο παρουσιάζει ιδιαίτερη αρμονία στον χρωματικό συνδυασμό του χρυσού με το πράσινο σμάλτο. Η βάση και ο κάλυκάς του κοσμούνται με ανάγλυφες κεφαλές αγγέλων.
