This cami is made from cotton khadi and hand embroidered. The designers said, "Khadi is a hand-spun and hand-woven cotton, silk or wool. It was made famous by Mahatma Gandhi who encouraged the boycott of foreign fabrics in India to further the cause of independence. Because of its irregularities due to how it is made, khadi is difficult to work with and is not often used in the Western fashion industry. For the same reason, it is rarely dyed and is used in its natural whites and creams". The bottle top belt features plaques de muselet as decorative elements. Plaques de muselet are the metal caps found on top of champagne corks. Easton Pearson is known for its eclectic use of materials, some of them everyday objects collected over years or found in unexpected places.
