The largest locust species in China. Widely distributed and endangers many crops. Males are 4.5-5.5 cm long and females 6.5-8.5 cm long. It has yellow-green body and roseal hind wings. The body surface has dense villus and thick flecks. Its head is big and round, and its face has a slightly backward inclination.
