The band shown is the Chosen Few Brass Band formed by Anthony "Tuba Fats" Lacen in the mid 1970s. Identified from left to right are: Andrew "Big Daddy" Green holding snare drum, George Johnson holding trumpet, Syril Vanzandt [?} with trumpet, Darryl Adams with saxophone, Tuba Fats with tuba, Lionel Batiste behind his bass drum, Edward Johnson with trombone, Ramsey Lewis, and an unidentified member of the the social aid club.
