The icon of Christ Pantokrator was uncovered in 2009 during its conservation in the Laboratory for the conservation and restoration of Icons of the Monastery, when a layer of overpainting was removed by Ioannis Sotiriou. It had been completely overpainted with oil colours during the 20th century. This second layer of painting, clearly of inferior technique than the one of the 17th century, was removed and the oldest icon was restored in its original form.

- Περιγραφή: Η εικόνα του Χριστού Παντοκράτορα, αποκαλύφθηκε το 2009 μετά τις εργασίες συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης στο Εργαστήριο συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης ζωγραφικών έργων της Ιεράς Μονής. Καλυπτόταν από ολική επιζωγράφιση με ελαιοχρώματα λαϊκής τέχνης των αρχών του 20 αιώνα. Αφού έγιναν οι απαραίτητες προεργασίες του έργου, ακολούθησε η ολική αφαίρεση της επιζωγράφισης, που ήταν σαφώς κατώτερη από πλευράς καλλιτεχνικής αξίας σε σχέση με την αρχική. Σήμερα κοσμεί το γραφείο του Καθηγουμένου. Οι εργασίες συντήρησης και αποκατάστασης του έργου έγιναν από τον Ι. Σωτηρίου.
