Santa Monica High School CIF championship team, which went on to defeat San Diego at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Samohi won the game 13-12, capping an undefeated season and becoming CIF champions for 1947. According to an Evening Outlook article on 12/15/1947, the team--known as the Norsemen--also set "a new Southland prep scoring record of 426 points" for the season.
