Wanja Bellander found it difficult to get her green salad dry after rinsing in it water. She started out with forming an acrylic board with small holes in it, at home, in her own oven.
After several attempts she felt ready to put the rinse on show at the fair of Formexmässan in 2000 and immediately she got 400 orders. She then decides to speak to an expert on plastics and asked a small factory in the town of Eskilstuna to make her salad rinse which is called CILA. CILA is design protected.
