Cloche from the Soviet Buran spacecraft

In the 1970s, the Soviet Union developed a reusable spacecraft for transporting people and materials.Very similar to the American Space Shuttle, it was named Buran after the cold wind of the Russian steppes. It flew only once, with no astronauts on board, on November 15,1988. The ending of the Soviet Union marked the conclusion of the project. This is an original cloche from the Buran. There were two installed on board, one for each of the two potential pilots. They would have been used to control the position of the spacecraft during its orbit or its landing on Earth, very similar to that of a glider.
