Club President, Charlie Christensen 1968

A very suave Club President, Charlie Christensen, addresses the crowd at the opening of the Club extensions while Prime Minister, John Gorton and Sir Adrian Curlewis look on.

Charlie's contribution to Surf life saving, and in particular North Bondi SLSC is outstanding. He joined the club in 1948 and received the award for 100% patrol attendance in 1948-1961. He was delegate to SLS 1950-1961, Vice president 1952-62, President 1962-75, Trustee 1969-96, Vice Patron 1996-2002, Management committee 1949-2002, Winner Most starts Sunday Surf Race 1959-2002 and Inducted to the North Bondi Hallf of Fame in 2002.
