Star Wars collecting cards are non-sport cards manufactured most exclusively by The Topps Company. They have been successful and popular since their introduction in 1977 following the release of the first Star Wars film, now renamed "Star Wars: A New Hope." These cards have been successfully produced and collected since that time and are still very popular with Star Wars fans and memoriabilia collectors. This particular card dates from the mid 1990s and represents a series entitled "Star Wars Galaxy: Series Two." The subjects are artworks by famous animators and artists of the period, who were inspired in some way by the movie series, as well as biographies of the artists themselves.
