Medal launched on the occasion of the inauguration of the Museum of the Republic, which took place on November 15, 1960. On the back of the medal are reproduced busts of Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca and President Juscelino Kubitschek, identified by the circular caption, respectively, as "Proclaimer of the Republic" and "Creator of the Museum". On the reverse, a reproduction of the museum's façade and the date alluding to its inauguration.
