The chapel at Compton Verney estate was built in 1772 by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, possibly to designs by Robert Adam. Built in limestone ashlar with stone dressings, the interior features Adam-style plaster decoration. It was built to replace a church that was demolished during Brown's landscaping of the estate and which obscured the view from the house.
