In the early 1990s, CD-ROM technology allowed software designers to transform a very old playthingthe children's bookinto a point-and-click interactive experience. Living Books, launched by the software company Broderbund in 1992, became the leader in this effort to upgrade juvenile literature for the digital age. This item is part of a donation from Jeff Schon, former CEO for Living Books, which comprehensively documents the way the company developed products, conducted market research, and made business decisions during this decade.
