Container for powdered tea with pine needle design

This container, called Natsume, is used for keeping powdered green tea. It is coated with transparent lacquer over the surface to show the natural texture of the bamboo material. It has gold and silver maki-e designs of a pine-bough on the side and a pine corn on the lid.
