Árvore II. Exhibition Room

The remodelling of the house’s interior area that harbours Árvore was carried out in the 1980s by the architect Alcino Soutinho. The ground floor, at the main front of the building, is reserved for the reception, the temporary exhibition halls, the shop and the administrative services, while the upper floor lodges the management and a living room. The lower floors, at the back, house a small auditorium, the workshops, laboratories and storerooms. Only in 1989 did Árvore finally acquire the building directly from its owners, Henrique da Costa Alemão Teixeira and Margarida Helena Relvas Navarro de Azevedo de Albuquerque da Costa Alemão Teixeira.
