Upon the death of Kato Kiyomasa, the lord of the Kumamoto domain, the confrontation over the initiative arose in the Kato family in 1618. After this incident, many vassals of the family were punished.
By the second shogun’s ultimate decision, one of the vassals, Netabi Shigehisa, and his three children were given a gentle punishment of being in custody of his former master, Muneshige, the lord of the Tanagura domain.
