This octagonal embroidery was probably used as a mirror cover. It is cotton-lined, and has a string attached to one side. Made with woolen needlepoint tapestry, it is embroidered with Eight Trigrams and the motifs of lotus roots, Buddha's hands and peaches, symbolizing "fertility, good fortune and longevity."
